What are some tips for laying out a custom cover?
If your book has a custom cover you will have to lay out the front and the back of the book yourself. To do this first start by dragging an image onto the cover page. Be sure to choose "Two page spread" when the "How to Drop?" menu comes up. Next you can start to add text, add pictures, or drag and drop one of the easy to use layouts to simplify cover creation. Be sure to design the back of your book, located at the end of your pages.

My book doesn't upload, what do I do?
If you are having trouble uploading your book please check the following common connection issues:

  • Are you connected to the internet with a wireless router? If so try plugging your computer directly into the router and uploading. Simply Elegant Photo Book files are very complex and although normal internet communication might not be interrupted a weak wireless signal can disrupt the transfer of your photo book. If you can not plug directly into the router try moving closer.
  • Do you have any personal firewall software installed on your computer? Try disabling your firewall software for the duration of the transfer.

Why does my validation report show low resolution when I saved the image at 300 dpi?
If you have an image that's setup as 2x3" at 300 dpi and you put it in a book and make it 4x6" this will have effectively reduced it's resolution to 150dpi, because you're making the image twice as big. Your image will still look great - the software will warn you if the resolution is too low to print.

Why do my imported book pictures keep going away when I reopen my saved book?
Be sure that your images are stored in the same location every time you open the saved book. The software only references the location of your images, it doesn't store a copy of them in the book. This means every time you open the application it will look for the book images in the exact same spot. Just put the images back in the original folder.

What do I need to order a Photobook?
You need some great pictures, a computer with at least 100MB of free hard drive space, a high-speed Internet connection, and a Visa, Mastercard, or PayPal account.

Whats the difference between a Soft Cover and a Hard Cover? What does custom mean?
Custom Softcovers are flexible laminated covers you can design with your favorite images. A Custom Hardcover is just like a Softcover except it has a sturdy mount board. Standard Hardcovers are study mount board covered with your choice of Black or Blue material.

Is your site secure?
Your personal information is gathered on a secure server when you place your order. We use PayPal, an industry leader in security and online shopping, to process your credit card information and never store it locally. We only retain your shipping and contact information for as long as it takes to ship your Photo Book and ensure you are happy with your order. Your credit card is never stored on our servers.

How long does it take to ship a Photo Book?
Most Photo Books are printed within 72 hours after we receive your order, and are sent out via UPS Monday through Friday. Depending on where you live, UPS typically delivers packages within 3-7 days depending on your location. Typically, Photo Books are received within 10 days of the date the order was placed.

How do I track my order?
If you haven't received your Photo Book within 10 days, send us an e-mail and we'll track it down for you. You may also check the status of your order on our tracking page here:

Will you ship to a P.O. box?
Unfortunately we cannot ship to a P.O. Box at this time.

Will you ship outside the United States?
Currently we are shipping anywhere in the U.S. only.

What kind of warranty do you have?
We warranty the Photo Book to be delivered to you free of defects in workmanship. Every Photo Book is hand-inspected and professionally packaged before it leaves the lab. If the Photo Book packaging is crushed, refuse the package, notify us within 48 hours, and another will be shipped immediately. (Note – the images are deleted after 48 hours). If the Photo Book is damaged inside the package and you opened it, notify us within 48 hours, ship it back to us postage-paid via UPS or US-Mail, and we'll send out another one ASAP.
